What if North Korea fires another missile over Japan?

The U.S. is concerned that North Korea will fire another missile. In 1998, North Korea fired a missile over Japan. What will happen if North Korea fires another missile over Japan? Will that force Japan to reconsider their self-defense policy?

It could get very interesting!

Bluff?

Hmmmm, according to the article it is a three stage hybrid missle, capable of hitting the USA. Also the article says it could be a bluff, a cry for some attention from the little man up north. I don't think it would cause Japan to significantly change its defense policy because the DPRK already is capable of hitting Japan with its previous missle block. I think it may cause the USA to ratchet up the pressure against the north if it is not a bluff.

Doesn't K.I.J. do this when we aren't paying enough attention to him? Bush will probably take another vacation. Colin Powell should be made Ambass. to ROK/NK. He's got serious experience.

needs attention

You're right, it seems that the little guy in the north has a pattern of creating some attention for his self when ever he has fallen off the radar screen for awhile. Guess his daddy never gave him any hugs.
