[USFK Forums] President Warns U.S. on North Korea Policy [LA Times]
Uploaded by C. Y. Lee on Thursday, January 26, 2006 http://www.latimes.com/news/nationwo...eadlines-world From the Los Angeles TimesIN BRIEF/SOUTH KOREA] President Warns U.S. on North Korea Policy From Times Wire Reports January 25, 2006 South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun warned the United States not to try to force the collapse of North Korea's totalitarian regime. "I don't agree [with] some opinions inside the U.S. that appear to be wanting to take issue with North Korea's regime, apply pressure and sometimes wishing for its collapse," he said. "If the U.S. government tries to resolve the problem that way, there will be friction and disagreement between South Korea and the U.S." He added that there was no such friction yet because the opinions didn't reflect current U.S. foreign policy.
