[USFK Forums] "Get ready for a civil war, the Armed Forces and ... [Opinion]
Uploaded by C. Y. Lee on Monday, January 30, 2006: Here is an opinion of Chung Chang-in, Independence Internet Newspaper in Seoul, which is passed on to me by Nam Shin-u, a Korean activist in U.S.A. The same is apparently being forwarded to President George W. Bush as so declared below.
"George W. Bush"<comments@whitehouse.gov> [Note from the friend] It is New Year’ Day in Korea by the lunar calendar. A message came in from a friend titled, “Get ready for a civil war, the Armed Forces and the Police of South Korea!” with a warning that there may not be a presidential election in 2007 in South Korea. Situation in South Korea is as bad as or worse than the year when the U.S. troops pulled out of Saigon in South Vietnam, and farther back, the days leading to the Civil War in the late 1850’s. God help us! Sin-U Nam (Translation) “Get ready for a civil war, the Armed Forces and the Police of South Korea!” There may not be a presidential election in 2007 in South Korea. January 29, 2006 Bad news on the first day of the new year by the lunar calendar in South Korea. High-ranking government officials at the Blue House (SK Presidential Palace) and some military generals visited Pyongyang to get training on the unification. A Dr. Kim who exposed this story was allegedly investigated by the National Intelligence Service, and he fled the country to the U.S. If true, this government is ready to violate the Constitution and conspire with the NK regime to do something drastic. It will be critical to the nation this year and the next. Those who love our country, our freedom, and our democracy, must prepare themselves for the worst. All of the Blue House aides and staff were pro-North Korea, anti-American student activists, so-called “Joo Sah Pah(Joo Chey Ideologists).” Republic of Korea was not a country to them, but an enemy. Only Kim IL Sung was the legitimate leader to them. They pledged their loyalty to the father and son Kims. It should surprise no one that they visited Pyongyang to get training on the unification. However, it should surprise everybody if the high-ranking military officers went to Pyongyang for training. This is not simply a preparation for unification, but collaboration to unify the peninsula under the rule of Kim Jong-IL. They are working on the communization of South Korea, and then will turn it over to Kim Jong-IL. This is treason. Open Uri Party publicly pledged to work with the NK Labor Party. Ex Unification Minister Chung Dong Young of South Korea openly suggested eliminating the 3rd Article of the Constitution, which defined the all of Korean peninsula as the territory of the Republic of Korea. The SK government keeps talking about revision to the Constitution. Pyongyang keeps talking about the unification of the two Koreas through federation. Now, we have this Lee Chong-Seok as the new Minister of Unification and the Director of the National Security Council. Lee is known to be the leading pro-NK, anti-American Joo Sah Pah activist leader. Everything points to treason and disaster. President Roh Moo-hyun in his annual address to the nation said, “SK government does not agree with the policy of the U.S. government to pressure and topple the NK government. There will be friction between SK and the U.S. if and when the U.S. tries to solve the NK issue this way.”Roh seems to be involved in the conspiracy of federal unification. NIS investigated this Dr. Kim who exposed this big story. He was so depressed he fled to the U.S. We have to assume the NIS is in the hands of the enemy. There is no Anti-Communist Division at the National Police. If it is true that the high-ranking military officers went to Pyongyang to get training on unification, we cannot trust the military either. We have to remember the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. It took only handful revolutionaries. We plan and wait for the 2007 presidential election in South Korea. What if there won’t be any election in 2007? We will be all caught with our eyes wide open. SK government is working to take over the military command from the U.S. Army. We know that the U.S. troops have the military command in case of another war in the Korean peninsula. However, Kim Jong-IL will take extraordinary measure if he believes things will not go as he planned. It will be most important who keeps the military command, the U.S. Army, or SK Army. It will be critical if the U.S. Army hands over the command to the SK Army. When and if the leftist government of South Korea sees no chance of winning the 2007 election, They will do something drastic. They can cancel the election for some cooked-up reason. Roh still has two years left. A military coup d’etat may be necessary to keep the country for democracy and freedom. The Armed Forces should get ready to do anything to save the country. Roh and his leftist followers may try to take over the military command. The Armed Forces may have to go against its commander-in-chief, the President. As long as Kim is in power in NK, and Roh keeps his power in SK, It will not be a peaceful unification, but a collapse and hand-over of SK to Kim Jong-IL. Freedom is not free. We may have to spill rivers of blood to protect our country and to stop the dictator in NK. We enjoyed our freedom for a long time thanks to the protection provided by the U.S. We may have to learn that the freedom is not forever free. The Armed Forces of South Korea must prepare themselves to fight to death. We, the patriots for freedom, should be ready to die for the country and freedom. Chung Chang-In Independence Internet Newspaper P.S. Ambassador Alexander Vershbow visited Independence Newspaper last week to have a chat with the rightist activists and newsmen. (END) |
