North Korean Coat of Arms

It is an interesting coat of arms. Here is what Wikipedia states:

The coat of arms of the DPRK. The national emblem of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea bears the design of a grand hydroelectric power plant under Mount Paektu, the sacred mountain of the revolution, and bearing the beaming light of a five-pointed red star, with ears of rice forming an oval frame, bound with a red ribbon bearing the inscription "The Democratic People's Republic of Korea."

Anyone ever wonder why North Korea calls themselves Democratic?

Kim Jong Il must really be proud of that power plant to stick in on a national emblem.

It's Democratic because it's a government by the people...rule of the majority...a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections!!!
