I want to get away from intramurel drinking, as I feel I really have nothing left to accomplish as an amateur, and I don't want to turn pro just yet.
Anyone interested in role playing games, wargames, fishing (although I have NO idea what the fresh/salt water fishing scene there is like) or a poker night. I'm an easy going guy and interested in most things. I'd like to get involved with martial arts, but I think my general level of physical fitness needs some work first. (right now I think my back and knee would go on strike if I even walked too close to the door of a dojo!) Anyone else have anything they are interested in? Let me know, I'll try it out. |

I do some RPG, wargaming, and other things
I'm in!
Name's Mike and I'm coming back to Korea this summer. I'll be a LTC by then and commanding the Armed Forces Network in Korea. Are you near Yongsan by chance? Mike |

Cool, I'll be in Seo-gu Incheon by the end of this month. That would be great! Do you mind playing with lowly civilian English teachers?
I'm really restricted on my weight allowance but I'm taking Call of Cthulhu core rule book and Paranoia. In the past I've done Squad leader and Harpoon strategy wise. What games are you into? More RPG or more table top strategy? Let me know and I'll see what I can dig up or order myself a copy of the game so I can learn the rules. It'll be like playing with the head of the network! |

Welcome Kosovo!
I'm Mr. Joe in Yongsan. Alpope 23 and I have some things in common. He will arrive in Inchon in two weeks. I'll have him trained to ride the subway by the time you get here! It is going to be fun watching him put his school teaching expertise to work in Korea! You and I have been here before, and can maybe keep him out of trouble! We'll get Seoul ready for your return. We in Yongsan are now attempting to improve AFN's AM footprint in the area. I'm sure he will be an avid listener in Inchon. Welcome back again to the assignment of choice!

Mr. Joe, thanks for the help! Do you work with AFN? And I'm assuming that you're in Seoul?
Alpope23, I normally play DnD as far as role-playing goes but I've also played Cyberpunk 2020 in the RPG area. I bought d20 "Conan" but haven't played it. On the tabletop, I'm a big Warhammer 40k nut, but I've also played most of the other Games Workshop games except fantasy: Necromunda, Mordheim, Space Hulk. I have enough armies for 40k, necro, mord, and SH, for at least two players and probably more. So you're an english teacher in a Korean college? Mike Mike |

Kosovo Dad
I work on Yongsan Post, in Seoul. One of our contracted companies , and some of our soldiers, among their many other duties, work on some of your AFN equipment. Many, many years ago, I attended an announcer's course at Osan AB, and did a bit of AFKN volunteer work when I was a young airman!

I was wondering whether the name of this thread should change?
I haven't seen much other traffic on this thread...does anyone think we'd get some more interest if the name was like "wargaming and role-playing" or something?

Good Idea
Yeah- another area might work for you game playing folk, I suspect.
Clubs & Groups maybe? I'm not into games myself. |
