Re: Spouses required to attend orientation
I am at Yongsan and we just got married. For now I am NCS. I was wondering where I can find out about when the meetings are. I got my ID card, and my hubby wanted to get my ration card, but found out about this. help would be appreciated

Call the Army Community Services (ACS) building. Or go over there and ask. It is Behind the Dragon Hotel, and behind Popeye's Chicken.

Re: Spouses required to attend orientation
I got my permanent ration card this morning and asked about orientation, and they looked at me like I felt from a tree. Said I don't need anything else.

Just FYI, I got here in October and the ration control class seemed to be just getting started. Some people that had arrived in late summer did not have to take it. It was difficult finding out when and where the class was...the RCC office couldn't even tell me, everyone just kept sending you to the other offices (ACS>RCC>1stRC>ACS). I think this is a good idea in theory, but i found it to be a waste of time. The spouses are also tossed in the room with the 100+ soldiers also their for the brief...and there weren't any sanwiches |

Re: Spouses required to attend orientation
I don't think it's a bad idea either, any knowledge I can gain in a different country seems like a good thing to me.. Thanks for the info.
