So I heard a rumor that tower #2 is going to be completed in July or August, can anyone confirm this???

Housing is dismal right now or so I have heard from the housing office. It sucks that I have to stay behind until housing is ready. I really hope that this new housing gets completed soon, that would be great. I hope we can get in. My hubby arrives in Osan July 1st. Who knows when I can go. I'm not traveling after August because I refuse to travel in my third trimester. So if takes awhile I guess we'll have to get something offbase for a couple months.

No, Sad to say, according to the last projections I heard, the *earliest* either tower was scheduled to be completed was in February 08, with the latter to be completed,in April 08.

Housing availability is *definitely* dismal right now, especially since there has been no forward movement on the MVV negotiations. The only openings there will be for on base housing are those that are opening up by attrition in the Seoraksan Tower, and there aren't many of those, unfortunately...and when you figure in the numbers of folks that are *already* in MVV and waiting for a spot in Seoraksan as well, that makes the number even smaller.

I'm gathering you fall under the non-concurrent travel order? As I mentioned in another post to Razmiel, I don't think finding an offbase place to live will be horribly difficult for you, most people have found places with a realtor in a couple of days,and with your hubby arriving in July, you will be here before the mass exodus of the MVV folks. :)

I think your biggest challenge in getting it done in the time limit you've alloted yourself will be in the paperwork , the communication between bases, etc, to actually get you over here. The relaying of paperwork *anywhere* from here is bad.. (LOL.. Ask short lil chick about her KAIP application!) Your hubby may have to really stay on top of those doing paperwork to make sure things are going smoothly , paperwork wise.
