babysitter
Does anyone know of a very reliable Korean babysitter that can work for a few hours a couple of evenings coming up in July? Our baby is now 13 mos. and we have yet to eat out or go out alone, so I would like to go out for our anniversary on July 14-15 and need a sitter for a few hours. Has anyone used anyone except the CDC? Thanks!

Happy Anniversary!
I'm sure someone at your Base will help you out. And don't worry- the kid won't have withdrawal symptoms as great as yours! |

Re: babysitter
That's the truth...I can hardly bear to leave him, even though that's silly. I am just so used to him, you know? :)

Re: babysitter
My wife and I know how you feel! We've been here in Seoul since March and we haven't been anywhere without our 11 month old. Its almost become a running joke between us that we'll never get to experience Korea after the sun goes down. We don't live on USAG Yongsan, but because we're at Hannam Village, sitters still need an ID to get to our apartment. The ones with ID's seem to only want to handle families on post. We made it through half the nanny list that the CDC gave us before we finally realized it was a lost cause. If you find any good leads, PLEASE let us know!

Rader & Vguenther:
You guys have the same problem, but one is at Osan and one is in Seoul! Perhaps you can work out a deal on a trip to the other's locaton! My wife says we could watch a little one some evenings, but we are in Itaewon, and you will have to drop the baby off with us. ( Our baby is 34 and lives in Las Vegas.) I work at Yongsan, and Kosovo Dad knows me! (I'll post a phone # with Rader on a PM.) |
