Re: The Infamous Memo..round 2 :)
From what I'm told the mvv housing is on Korean military land and they want it back. So I don't know about the whole turning the mvv into TLF. That would be great but I haven't heard anything of that happening. My hubby is a services comander so he would know if that was happening. He said it would be really expensive to renavate all those places so we'll see.
We live off base and I'm CS and we got a waiver to have 2 cars. |

Re: The Infamous Memo..round 2 :)
OK so I have this memo in hand now this is what it says.
"CS military members e-7 and above and NCS military families E7 and above who reside with their families off base may now apply to register a second vehicle at Osan AB. This change is directly related to the current housing shortage at Osan AB and is intended to alleviate the hardships military families forced to live off base may encounter during this period. If a military family recieves permission to register a second vehicle this year and later moves into base housing, the second vehicle must be de-regitered. The military member in a family that wants to request a second vehicle should route their application through their squadron and group commander for validation. These officer's will ensure that there is a legitimate need for the vehicle (i.e. the person applying actually has a member with a valid license, etc). The application must be routed to Pass and ID and will be sent to MSG/CD for approval. Single military members and command sponsored E1-E6's living off base will not be permitted to register a second vehicle. There is not enough parking at Osan AB to accommodate second vehicles for every family at this time. This guidance will be revisited as additional planned parking structures are completed." |
