Halloween 2007 :)

So, how was everyone's Halloween? :)

Did all the kiddies have a ghoulishly good time? :)

We had a great time last night trick or treating at the Towers! :) The kids were out en masse, and although it was a little crowdedly insane at times meandering through the halls, it was rather nice being able to see so many folks we know, and socialize a little with our basewide "neighbors" while the kids were having a great time grabbing the sweets.

The base leadership here gets definite kudos for their efforts... their tables at the entrance of the Towers were laden with all sorts of good things, and they really seemed to be making an effort to greet and meet each family present.

Kudos as well to the members of the SFS squadron, who were present in numbers, to keep all the monsters away. :)

If you haven't had the chance to visit Chili's here at Osan during the scary season, *run*..don't walk..to check out their decor before it's gone away! :) They really went all out for the holiday, and did a great job. :)

Wow...if Halloween's come and gone...can Christmas be far behind ? :)

Dee :)

Re: Halloween 2007 :)

Sounds like fun. I'm bummed that we didn't make it out but Austin suddenly came down with a horrible ear infection the night before Halloween. We spent our Halloween in the Peds Clinic and ER. He had a 103.7 fever. It was awful. I'm still doing the motron and tylenol thing to keep the fever down.

But I hope everyone else had fun.

Sorry your Halloween sucked Laura!

After dinner at Chili's, which as Dee said had great decorations, I took my girlies over Sorakasan Tower for trick or treating. We started on the top slffor and worked our way down. We had a lot of fun and the girls got a lot of candy (7lbs). It was really nice to do it inside that way the kids didn't have to wear coats :)

Uggh, Laura, I'm so sorry to hear your day was such a bummer! Ear infections are the *worst*! When my little one was even a "littler" (yes, I know , grammatically incorrect me! :) ) one, he had a major problem with ear infections, so I definitely can feel your pain.

I hope Austin's feeling better soon, and that you can finally get some much needed rest! :)

Maybe you can catch some of the Halloween candy now on sale at the commissary and BX, so when the little guy is feeling better, he can have at least a little taste of "trick or treat" :) I'd be tempted to enlist a neighbor or two and let him wear his costume to their house, and get candy (that you'd supply, of course) from them :)

Annnnyway.. hope all is getting better at your house, best wishes sent your way for you and your son :)

Dee :)

I didn't see the anatomically correct ones, thank goodness, I missed them, but sadly, I wouldn't doubt that someone decided to "add to" the atmosphere in their own "special" way.

I realize that a majority of Osan is populated by unaccompanied airmen, but it'd be really nice now and then, if some of them might just remember that there are families here too..and some of us parents really don't want to see or hear some of the inappropriateness they want to share.

Re: Halloween 2007 :)

Oh, these pictures looked like they were placed there on purpose. They were placed over the frames of pictures that had already been hanging. I even mentioned to my husband (quietly so not to draw the attention of my 10 year old) what he thought Corporate Chili's would say about the pictures. I saw two of them. There was a girl in both of them (goth looking.) Both were black and white and the only color was red (I'm sure you could imagine what that was) and of course the girl was NOT clothed. I must say I was quite shocked when I saw them.

Re: Halloween 2007 :)

Uggh, shows how observant I am, I didn't even see them. We were in a booth right behind the hostess' desk, and didn't have any pictures in sight, only a black curtain with the orange spiders.

Sounds like maybe something else that needs to be put on Ice! :)
