Baby Items

Hi! I am in dire need of several baby items that have been difficult to impossible to locate here on the peninsula.
I am looking for a bassinet, infant car seat/stroller, tub, bouncy seat and swing. If anyone is selling any of the items mentioned please let me know.

Thanks,
Lee

Re: Baby Items

Wow, where are you located? If you don't mind used then I've seen all of that stuff at the local thrift shops, either here at the Hump or Osan.

If you want new, they have most of that stuff at the BX/PX....

Re: Baby Items

I donated just about all of that stuff this past month to the Osan Thrift Store. You can check there and see if they still have any of it. They usually have a pretty regular supply of different baby items.

Otherwise like the pp mentioned between the Humphreys, Yongsan, and Osan BX/PX's you should be able to find everything you need.

Re: Baby Items

You're at Humphreys right? They have a tub there now for about $16. Osan has bassinet's sometimes. Every once in while you can find a bouncer or swing at Humphreys or Osan. Did you check the furniture store at Yongsan? It's over by the Chosan gift shop. That's where they sell the larger baby stuff, not the PX. The only place I could find that would mail something as big as a carseat to an APO was www.babyuniverse.com. They charged me $50 to ship a stroller and a carseat.

Re: Baby Items

I dont mind used stuff at all but last time I checked here at Humphreys the thrift store didn't have anything. And according to the PX here there are no bassinets available on the entire peninsula except for a display at Osan that they will not sell. I have to go up to 121 on Friday for a Dr. appt., non-stress test and an ultrasound so I will check there.

Thanks all for the suggestions!

Re: Baby Items

Walmart.com ships to APO. I bought a darling moses basket for like $25 I think. It is just as nice as the pricey ones. I would look online for things you can't get at either the thrift store or BX. I haven't had any trouble locating baby things here. Also the E-Mart has a nice baby section as well. The Osan BX has car seats and strollers. I have also seen bouncy seats and swings. I bought my baby tub at the BX just a few days ago. I got my swing at the thrift store for $20 and my baby loves it. I have been to the Humphrey PX so I understand they have a pathetic baby section.

Re: Baby Items

I'm at Yongsan now staying at the Storks Nest. We're doing a lot of walking so I stopped by the furniture store. They had 4 or 5 different car seats and strollers, a Graco Livin Hug Swing - Margo for 79.99, Cosco Beginnings Gentle Motions swing for 49.99, and a Kolcraft Tender Vives Bassinet for 49.99.
