For average consumers, Korea probably has the fastest internet in the world. It is mind-boggling fast.

If you live on-base, you have to go with the on-base internet vendor - the service in some places isn't very good, and it's rather pricey. But off-base, you get incredibly fast internet service for only $30-40 / month.

Re: Vonage

As far as internet goes here at Camp Humphreys it's included in most off post leases. I don't know of anyone who's had to pay for their internet off post...and it's fast.

Re: Vonage

MJ works like a regular phone, so you can receive and make calls with it. Your computer has to have an open usb port. The only downside is your computer has to be on.

Re: Vonage

I use ITP www.itp4you.com It's setup is the same as Vonage. Everyone here @ Kunsan with Vonage was blocked April 1. My ITP still works great.

PM me if you plan to sign up, I'll send you an email so you get 1 month free.

Re: Vonage

From what I read in the newspaper, it's just the company on base. The companies off base have no intention of blocking Vonage.

But you may not talk on the phone as much as the other person does. As well they only give you your AREA code of Choice. Well I know in Texas just cause you are in my Area code does not mean that its free to call me. so then the person I would be calling would be coming out of pocket to call me. that and I talk over 7000 mins a month that bout 240 mins a day about 3 1/2 hours. at 2.1 cents a min I would be paying 15 or so bucks a month so it almost the same..

Tthis is how you fix vonage in Korea. Pass it on to all you know who have Vonage and who are in Korea!!!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vpw44l80w4

Re: Vonage

Actually my husband just got Vonage last week and hes been in Korea for about 2 months. Im not sure what exactly he did but it just sounds like he called them up and they set us up the next day or so. The connection is great as well. If your already in Korea and want to knowwhat my husband did to get it while he was over there I can ask him for you.
