Re: Non Command Sponsored
Well, I just want to visit my parents over Korea and spend time with them a little earlier. And my husband got permission for early arrival wtih 45days leave in Korea with my parents address.
Also he didn't get the ticket from army, we paid from our pocket. He checked the price from travle department and they siad it will cost us around $3000 for me and kids and if he is authorized (becasue it is early leave)he will get his ticket for free. But I checked the web iste one of you guys recommanded, (bt-store.com) all four of us cost 2000 and couple dollars left. So here I am, we are leaving early. We was originally plan to visit Korea this year but suprisingly got an order to Korea we were expecting my husband 3rd time deploy to iraq this fall. Thanks everyone for your advise. I thought everything will be very simple just becasue I know most of Korea very well, now I need to send visa application for my kids and still need to work on my visa since I'm leaving states for a year or longer with my green card. And if anybody can give advise about this part, it will be really helpful to me. Last edited by kimicori : 05-23-2007 at 02:54 AM. |

Re: Non Command Sponsored
I have a general question if someone can help me...I am a non-command sponsored spouse here at Osan. We are moving in July, and I have a number of items to sell, like a crib/mattress, recliner, end tables, etc. and I don't know where to advertise them or put up flyers on base. I know about the thrift shop, but I can't get decent prices for them there, and I would have to deliver.
Does anyone know where I can post flyers, etc on base to list stuff for sale? Thanks! |

Re: Non Command Sponsored
How much are you asking for the crib and mattress? We're looking for one for the next couple months but aren't looking to take it on to our next station so I don't want to pay too much.

We paid $350 for the crib, and about $100 for the mattress. It was brand new when it came to Korea, and it is still in new condition. We want $200 for both crib and mattress. It is a Baby's Dream Infinity crib in natural color. It is a stationary crib, and is very sturdy. We are buying the very same one in the states, we just want to get it RIGHT when we get to Nellis, instead of waiting 2+ months for this one to arrive. Any thoughts on how to advertise it other than on these boards? We have other items as well, but they are smaller and cheaper. Thanks! |

Re: Non Command Sponsored
That's a lot more than we were wanting to pay, but I understand why you want to get that price. You could ship it over at your own expense through the post office and use a portable crib until you leave. Just an idea.
I don't know any other places to advertise. I've been looking for advertisements and haven't been very lucky in finding anything. Our baby has been sleeping in a borrowed portable crib for a month now and it looks like that might be her bed until next March! Kara |

Re: Non Command Sponsored
There are spaces for flyers in the BX and the Commissary. I look at them almost everytime I go in, and the DSN phones are right by the ones in the BX so it's kinda high visability.

Or you can just list most of what you have in this thread. I know I'm always looking for a good buy on somethings.....
