Re: Non command sponsored with an E2 fiance

You might have been given wrong info because you're not married and aren't a dependent so the military owes you nothing - no housing and no healthcare.

But since you're getting married, you will get a housing allowance no matter where you live and will probably be on space-A for medical as NCS but will still get health care.

Good luck!

you need to be cs to get a sofa stamp. I also think you might need to be cs to get an A3. Though I am not sure about that one...I am positive on the sofa stamp because I just found out myself.
I arrived in Korea in June NCS and I got my visa and sofa stamp when I got here. I think you may have been given wrong information.

My advice don't let the NCS get to you, almost everyone I know is NCS and they get the same treatment as CS.

Good luck with everything!!

Re: Non command sponsored with an E2 fiance

We are in Casey area NCS. I have my visa and my SOFA stamp. We have medical care, and commissary priveleges as well as PX and such. It isnt much different than CS other than dental. And paying for you tickets over here. I got my visa in Uijongbou, and my childrens as well.

We live in New City which is only about a 4 minute taxi ride to either Hovey or Casey gates. It is a nice apartment and a good area.
