What would you do with a million dollars?
I'm curious to see what the responses would be.
What would you do if you won or inherited a million dollars today?

Interesting Question. After Uncle Sugar takes his 30% off the top I would pay off all the bills including some that belong to my kids. Fix my eyes so I can see without glasses and let my wife get what ever she wants and if there is some left put it in an investment account. Note here that even letting my wife get whatever she wants there is still a substantial amount left as she is not a shopaholic.

After taxes, move to a state with little to no state taxes and declare residency. Open several Roth IRA's and and keep a low profile.

First thing I would do is put atleast half away in something that was stable and good intrest, then pay the bills off (which would be less than $40,000 becasue of the new car). Buy a new house and then just see what comes up.
The reason I would put half away first is, i've heard several stories about people winning the lottery and in 2-5 years are back in the same situation they were in before they won the lottery. Broke!! Oh and I would also put money aside for my Sons education. And a nice chunk for him when he graduates high school and college.

I would buy mysself a nice little home in my home town, invest in roth IRA's, pay all my bills, invest some for both my girls' futures, and save as much as I can for later.
