Mexico conservative claims win

This is a big story if he wins. Typically, the leftist governments have won in South America. Socialism is crap and is one of the major reasons the economies in Mexico and South America are in the slums.

If the conservative President wins we may see some major changes in Mexico and a President that actually want to keep his citizens in Mexico instead of sending them north.

It will be interesting to see how this affects Mexico. I guess it would be safe to presume that Central and South America has seen some goofy things from thier 'understanding' of socialism. There's may be a good portion of the Chinese that may disagree with your comment on socialism. I think they call their version of socialism 'market socialism'. A pol sci major would say something on the linees of control that accompanies public ownership is far more compatible to the project of sustainability. I truly wish them all the best!

the form of market socialism practiced in Mexico is extremely dangerous to the environment, human health, and other forms of lines of control as Boom Boom suggests.
So in terms of real sustainability as one who saw projects wiped out in Mexico City which were based on tribal ownership as the new government came in the last time --- it is difficult to remain moderate --during a change in government.
Let us hope that the change is not bact to an elitist run system as that would not work well!
