Re: Investing
The second stock is: U.S. BioEnergy (USBE). It has a 52 week low of 10.78 and a 52 week high of 17.72. It closed today at 11.66. It is being traded after hours and has bid as high as 12.32, so far. It might be a hard one to get a good buy in price at in the morning without having to chase it. It will most likely be trading in the pre-open also. There is no telling where the opening bell price may be set at due to all the extended hour trading. here's the catch: They have earnings call tomorrow at 11:00am ET. Given the rise in oil and the build in ethanol (it is mostly an ethanol play from what I have read), the odds are good that the earnings will be good and the stock will spike somewhat tomorrow. It's a dangerous game, trying to day trade. Piper Jaffray has upgraded USBE this week. Research it on yahoo and good luck. peace and good kimchee eating! wash it down with a cold OB and you'll be living good my friends.

Re: Investing
Holy stock bubble! Dendreon tripled from 5.22 to 18-19 range in pre-market trading. Problem is , unless you had bought into it on wedsnday, it was impossible for a common trader to jump in, unless you traded in futures. There was absolutley no indication of when they opened the pre-market trade for this stock. In a flash, on cnbc, they reported the stock had tripled in pre-open. Rigged to the big money players. USBE traded up to 13.50 in pre-open. It looks strong as all the earnings news seems to be good, oil is high and USBE is still well below it's 52 week high. I took a long position in USBE. For those who are new to trading, you need to consider tax implications, remember, short term trades are taxed at your income tax bracket at the end of the year. Long term trades (long term cap gains) are taxed at the cap gains rate of 15 percent. Sometimes, trading short can hurt you more at tax time than it helps. Peace.

Re: Investing
here are two good mining speculative plays to hold long. Minera Andes (mneaf). I bought in at around 1.70. I would feel safe buying in at any weakness below 2 dollars. The second is SilverMex (slvxf). Both are good long term spec plays right now. Esperanza (espzf) is still good to buy in at any dips below 3 dollars. Hold these into 2008.

Re: Investing
Uranium has really been popping for a few years now. It just made another big jump in the price per pound. A couple good spec plays in yellow cake miners are : Pitchstone (PEXPF) , a highly speculative exploration, but excellent, expert team. Energy Fuel Resources (EFRFF), a tier II yellow cake play. I'd buy Pitchstone on any pullback under 3.50 and EFRFF anywhere under 5 dollars. Hold both through 2008. peace and happy soju drinking.

Re: Investing
Interest rates have been in an uptrend for a few months and now the beginning of a long term up trend in the yields seems to have been confirmed this week. Bearish for gold and silver? Yes, at least temporarily. I think it will present another buy in opportunity for anyone who has never added precious metals to their portfolio. Interest rates are still historically low, even if they rise another half point. The internet and markets opening up all are bullish things that educate and allow people to buy, something that was more difficult or even prohibited in the past. I think three years from now gold will be over 1k per ounce and silver will be between 40 and 100 dollars per ounce. GG, Goldcorp is a great gold miner stock to buy at any pull backs.

Re: Investing
All the signs and experts are pointing to a very active hurricane season this year. The national hurricane center called for many hurricanes last year but they turned out to be wrong. One expert I listen to called it right last year. The reason last years storms were not intense was apparently due to much volcanic dust in the carribean from last years volcanic activity in the region. Volcanic dust acts as a sponge to atmosphereic moisture. There is no such volcanic activity in the region this year and everything points to a very intense storm year with the probablility of big storms reaching the gulf of mexico and the mid atlantic coast. Not to capitalize on any potential tradgedy in the brew but, oil and natural gas could be very good investments to make some money on this summer if it resembles 2005. USO and UNG are the most liquid, easiest ways to make some cash against increases in the spot for oil and NG. peace. It is also shaping up to be a 'La Nina' year, which helps intensify hurricane potential.

Re: Investing
I am a gold bug. Those who have tracked the gold and silver markets for decades have understood that gold and silver were made 'commodities' so that the price could be suppressed. here is a link to a new article giving even more credence to the theory:http://www.gata.org/files/CitigroupGoldReport092107.pdf
Gold is going to take off over the next three years. Gold miners will do well. One great gold miners stock to get in on is Gold Corp (GG). It was 21 bucks a couple weeks ago and now with the decline of the dollar, thanks to the FED, it has jumped to 30 dollars. The target is 50 dollars per share, without any further increase in the price of gold. If gold continues to rise, so could the target. peace.

Re: Investing
I don't own any gold corp(GG) at this time. There is a great possibility that gold will pull back and also cause silver to pull back due to a very large naked short position on the comex. It is unpredictable how much these short selling manipulators will cause the price to drop when they initiate their sell actions. By the way the gold market has acted over the past five years, the price pull back will be fairly short lived. Gold is a long investment and only for those who are patient and willing to go long. Cheers!
