Teacher in Student Sex Case Held on Bond
What is it with female teachers having sex with young boys? There is yet another case of this!
Quote:
This is like the 4th case of have heard of in the past few years. Not only did she have sex with the boy, she had sex with him at school! She could always claim, "Hey! I was just taking sex education to the next level." Seriously, women should be held to the same punishment standards of men. This lady should not be out on bond! She only has to come up with $10,000 (assuming a bondsman covers her). Would a guy who molested a 11-year old girl get the same bond deal?

I hear (from a doctor on TV...go figure
) it's because these women who are usually in their mid to late 30's have raging hormones and at their sexual peak. Of course, it's no excuse of any kind. Quote:

Pretrial release and adjudication of rape offenders: *About half of rape defendants are released prior to trial. *Among those released, half had to post a financial bond. *The median bond amount was $23,500. *Over two-thirds of convicted rape defendants received a prison sentence. *For rape defendants sentenced to prison, the average term imposed was just under 14 years. About 2% of convicted rapists received life sentences. I know which sentence scared me the most. Why over two-thirds? I'm pretty sure it's because the actual figure is below three-fourths. A good friend of mine worked for the Foster Care program. One of the most shocking cases he told me about was about a father found guilty of molesting his daughter. He got around a year in prison and was released. He lost custody of his daughter, but *not* his son. The judge decided that the boy was not in danger of being abused. I hope she gets 14 years in prison. The issue isn't that women sex-offenders aren't punished enough, but that most sex-offenders are not punished enough. |

Good research Doutdes!
It's terrible that a person of trust (like teachers) abuse children. The mental impact on the children is forever, but the sentences are not. Mike
