The Fatal Befuddlement
The link is to an article by Mr. J.R. Nyquist. He basically takes the position that the US has been duped into thinking the cold war is really over. My view has always been, as the Berlin wall came down, that the cold war is not over, it is just changing colors. China and Russia continue to put up road blocks at every turn while we make them richer through our corporate cooperation. Read Nyquists view here:
http://www.financialsense.com/stormw...2006/0714.html The rockets that are now being fired at Israel by Hezbolla originated in China, by way of Iran under the meager protest of the U.S.

Re: The Fatal Befuddlement
Capitalism keeps the cold war alive and well and living behind closed doors in the new Russia. Link to very good read about the situation and Russias on going geo-political chess match and how they will have the financial power, thanks to us, to defeat us while our leaders squander our national wealth: http://www.financialsense.com/editor...2006/1009.html

Re: The Fatal Befuddlement
Some good research,Turk. I have paid attention to Cheney since he was my boss back in 1972. I just won't go hunting with him.
The Russian Bear doesn't hibernate. It slumbers, but never sleeps. Their economy is crap now, but they are taking lessons from the Chinese, who never rush, as they know they will win the race over time, as the tortise beat the hare. The Eagle is also ever vigilant, and can see as well or better than any other animal. The real powers behind World Financial Domination are still in control. It is a world powers chess game. Ultimate winner to be determined. |

Re: The Fatal Befuddlement
Putin's own personal Russia is growing by leaps and bounds. Just about 100 percent of the country is in the control of his old KGB cronies and if you have paid atention to the news you will notice that those who disagree and criticize are erased. here is a link to a good article by Dr. Joe Duarte concerning the fate of oil in the hands of the new dictators of the world: http://www.financialsense.com/editor...2006/1216.html

Re: The Fatal Befuddlement
During the 'cold war' the argument that was often touted by those who taught geo-politics, as to why the USSR was doomed to failure was the old 'guns and butter' argument. Then, the free markets of the western powers gave us capabilities that the Russians only dreamed about. It seems the tables are slowly turning with our help and/or neglect. The cold war continues with the new Russia in a power position we never dreamed about forty years ago. Can Russia kill our economy by destroying the value of the dollar around the globe?
