What do you think of the World Baseball Classic?
I think the World baseball Classic is a cool idea and is trying to mimic the World Cup. Check out the standings here. I think it is cool that Taiwan (called Chinese Taipai) whipped on China 12-3 today.
 The only negative I would say is that there are really only 4 countries that even have a chance of winning this thing. Outside of the US, Cuba, Japan, Dominican Republic, and Korea, the competition gets pretty thin. Honestly, is there any doubt about Pool B? United States Canada Mexico South Africa South Africa? Didn't someone tell them that this is no Cricket? The Asian pool is the most competitive: South Korea Japan China Taipai China I am watching the Korea/Japan game right now.  Mike

I LIKE IT AND I THINK IT'S A GREAT IDEA FOR BASEBALL AND WORLD POLITICS!!
 LIKE ALL NEW THINGS IN SPORTS (AMERICAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE) IT MAY TAKE A FEW YEARS TO REALLY CATCH ON, BUT I THINK IT WILL.... IF YOU ARE A REAL BASEBALL FAN, ANY BASEBALL IS GOOD!!!
