How can i contact the flight training center?
Hello,
I am actually an American expat working in Seoul, but would like to obtain my private pilot license. I have read that Osan has a flight training center, but would like to know if non-military civilians are allowed to train there. I have tried calling the phone number 784-4424, which is listed on the Osan Guide website. However, the phone number does not work. I even tried calling 31-661-4424 as instructed from an off-base phone line. Does anyone have any suggestions for me, or know of any other flight schools in the Seoul or Gyunggido area? Thank you! |

First off, welcome to the site!
Here is what it says on the services website. Membership in the Aero Club is open to the following: • All active duty military • Retired military • DOD civilian employees (including NAF) • Federal government employees working on a military installation • Dependents of all the above • Member of the Reserves • FAA personnel Looks like being a FAA person or a dependents is the only way for non DOD civilians. I got that number off their site, so it is good. http://www.51services.com/activities.asp?activityid=8 Mike

Having been trained once at an AF Base Aero Club, unless there has been some change, I suspect the last post is correct.
To dial 784-4424 from downtown korea, dial 0505-784-4424.There will be no dial tone after 0505, so wait; longer than you want to wait-then it may ring. Over here, you probably have to do it the Korean way! Good Luck! |
