USA or North American Union? Whose Choice?

http://www.spp.gov/

The United States of America is on the verge of ceasing to exist as we now know it. There has been a move underway for more than a decade to merge the USA, Canada and Mexico into one country. The plan that has taken shape mostly behind closed doors, out of the scrutiny of the public at large, began many years ago. This is no conspiracy theory, this is a fact. The link above goes to the primary agency resposible for making it happen. It is an executive branch agency. The plan is being effected via agreements and memorandums rather than by treaties. This makes it possible to skip the ratification process required by our U.S. Constitution and the concept of representative government, however flawed we sometimes think it is. The plan is currently on a fast track. It will mean no borders between the three countries, a common monetary system, a common identification system etc,... Whether or not this idea makes sense in todays world, (I personally think that it does), I am one hundred percent against the method. This effort has effectively destroyed any concept of a government for and by the people and could threaten future freedoms provided by the Bill of Rights.

Re: USA or North American Union? Whose Choice?

I get the impression that this is not a uniting of governmnet but a uniting like the European Union with a monitary system not unlike the Euro. I did not read anything about uniting the governments and becoming one country. Did I miss something?

Re: USA or North American Union? Whose Choice?

You are correct, it is very much like the EU which is a work in progress. Once borders are open, money is common, security forces are integrated,,, a new soveriegnty is effectively established my friend. It is only a matter of time before different laws are integrated and/or established to regulate the new soveriegnty. Everything that is happening and the desired results are not fully discussed in any public forum. NAFTA and CAFTA were passed as brick laying efforts to establish some precidence in the guise of good business and good trade. The problem arises in the fact that the citizens of the USA have had virtually no voice in this process.

Re: USA or North American Union? Whose Choice?

In Europe there is no combined military and there are still border checks on trains, autos and goods. And they were very open even before forming the European Union. I do not think we will see it get to shared laws and sovrenty. There is a big fight going on here inTexas over the Road to go from Mexico to Canada, with the gist of it beingborder controls and inspections. As the lagest piece of the road that is in one state (Texas) they want it toll with the monies staying within the state. I do not think that this will happen given the large political prominance of the Mexxico border issue that is a hot potato in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. It is becoming a national issue also.

Re: USA or North American Union? Whose Choice?

The EU is still a work in progress. Though the EU is a basic blueprint for the North American Union, it is only a blueprint in the basic way to move toward the union. The EU has many substantial nationalistic problems to overcome in order to achieve the planners desired outcome. These are not my ideas but a good, brief analysis of what is happening and what could happen can be heard here: http://www.netcastdaily.com/fsnewshour.htm

Listen to the mid to end point of the broadcast; 3rd hour with Jim and John Loeffler. If you use win media player, the pertinent part of the broadcast begins around 47 minutes and ends at approximately 1:07 minutes.

Re: USA or North American Union? Whose Choice?

Buchanan's latest ties in with the move to create the North American Union, which will end America as we currently know it. Tony Blankley's latest reviews Buchanan's new work. Blankley can be accessed via the list of journalists on Drudge.

Re: USA or North American Union? Whose Choice?

One of the problems with Buchanan is that he is too conservative actually more of a protectionist in his political approach.

Call him what you will, he presents facts that aren't easily disputed and shouldn't be ignored.

Re: USA or North American Union? Whose Choice?

I do not dispute his facts but the way he presents them reminds me sometimes of those guys walking around with signs saying the world is ending tomorrow. His points are good but his solutions are to go back to 1950's policies is not really a good sollution. Next he will be saying we need to walk softly and carry a big stick or just become an isolated country. The world is more and more becoming an intagrated global market and as a captialist country we should be the one driving that train.
