He's a professor and an eminent philosopher, a doctor.
also, He's an advisor of President Roh now.
He's the cleverest in South Korea and in special, he's famous as a East philosopher. I often have heard his lecture and read his book.
He can speak English, Chinese, Japnese and also, He was studied abroad in Harvard University, U.S.
He says; The East thought is more excellent than the West.
He says; U.S. of domination-ism have many contradiction.

Do you know him ?

Well, I guess the whole "The East thought is better than the West" depends on your interpretation. Let's look at some facts, shall we.

The majority of Asian countries are a Democracy (Western thought) and many Asians also enjoy many of the freedoms that westerns have, well... unless you are a woman. (Eastern thought)

Both the East and the West enjoy free-market economies, which I won't score to either side, but I am leaning more toward a Western influence on this one. Basically the whole idea of, hard-work and sheer determination will yield a great bounty is an idea both areas share.

I guess Easterners go to school more than people from the West, so that must be what Mr. Kim is talking about when he says the East is smarter than the West. He went to Harvard though, so I dunno.

What I do know is that I hate Easterners who come over to America; get an education and upon returning to the mother-land immediately begin their Anti-western movement. I spent a year in Korea, but you don't see me going around telling everyone that Korea is a chovanistic, class-based society where your chances of success are based on who you know. Nope, I don't say that because I loved Korea and I think that people should formulate their own opinions. What we have here is some guy who throw a couple of DDS, PHD, BA, MBA's infront of his name and he has a cult following of Anti-westerners who know nothing than what this man has told them. Don't listen to me though, because I am an Imperialistic American Pig. (IAP) <--- my term don't steeeeel it, ok!?

If you don't know Korean language, You can't understand his lecture.

His philosophy is not simple like you say.
My English is very poor to express his thought.
I also completely can't understand his book and his TV lecture.
But, I can say this one; those things isn't everything such as market economics or No money, don't eat ! etc....

I know that U.S. government doesn't help a poor-class problem. right ?
They say; "If you wanna eat anythings, Do it yourself ! "
This is not eastern thought. Can you understand what I say ?
