President Bush sending 6,000 troops to border
It's a good first step.
It looks like 6,000 troops will be sent to the border in a supporting role to the border patrol. I wonder if this will cause more protests? What is funny is there was no troops getting sent to the border before the protests and now there is. Maybe the protesters are getting the math? protesters with Che shirts and Mexican flags = 6,000 troops to the border

Oh boy! It's going to get messy. I feel sorry for our troops being stuck in the middle of it all. Well, they are "defending our nation".
I support the troops!![]() |

Actually I never understood why National Guard troops were used in Iraq. I do think the border is closer to their proper use. I do think that all the moves now are nothing more than posturing for political position for the next election.
