Anyone seen the movie Hostel?
I borrowed this DVD from a friend (since it is currently the No. 1 selling DVD at the AAFES Exchange). This movie was sick! I can't stand watching a movie like this more than once.
A review on the DVD cover referred to this movie as "clever". Hmm... I guess if you step through the events, it was pretty cleverly written. It did make sense. However, I just found everything in the end a bit too convenient and easy. I have to admit, though, this is one movie where no matter how tough you think you are, you'd be screaming and crying for your life like these characters if you were in their situation. It was a pretty terrifying movie for its realism (except for some of the ending); putting yourself in their shoes. All I know is I didn't feel too well after watching this movie. If a movie can affect me that much, I'd have to give it a thumbs up. |
