American Idol, European stupidity
If you did not know, American Idol ended this week with a new winner Taylor Hicks. Well, of course the Europeans have to write an article titled, "American Idol out votes the president." It is a clever way to show that Americans care about entertainment than politics. Here is their supporting data:
Quote:
A large number of people voted for American Idol, but not even close to the amount of people that voted for Ronald Reagan. Nice try Guardian!

I would like to know why someone would actually vote for this stuff. I my be the 'odd' man out here, but this show has never impressed me much. I guess I've always had something better to when it airs. The Guardian actually a funny newspaper, from a political standpoint. Bell's cartoons are both humorous and offensive. I agree that the reporters view is one sided and leaves out a few details. Maybe he can work for CNN or Fox News. I'm glad the show over for the season.
