What is the big deal about Katie Couric?
I have watched her news report a few times and I must say she STINKS as a news reporter. Tom Brokaw come back!

Really! Can anyone tell me why she is worth so much money and the voice of NBC news? I can think of dozens of better speakers.

She is an attractive woman, but her speaking ability is average at best and she doesn't seem too bright. There has to be better news casters than that! I guess a lot of women like her and she is nice on the eyes for the guys. That is the only thing I can think of.

Am I way off? Any big Katie fans?

seriously, her smile is reflective of her personality... and she shined on the morning shows. how well that translates into a primetime news presenter, I don't know. however, she does have a winning personality and she's endearing to most people.

it's hard to take her seriously as a prime time anchor.
but I think that's because we're so used to her bubbly morning show persona.
i say give her a chance, if the ratings plummet, we'll see changes soon enough :)
