The background is an illegal immigrant who has been arrested in the past recently drove drunk and killed a car with a few teenagers in it. Geraldo is for wide open borders and thinks this is a DUI issue, not an illegal immigration story. Bill thinks it has everything to do with illegal immigration because the guy should have never been in the country. Very heated!

Even though I like Bill O'Reilly, I would have to take my stand with Geraldo on this one. This is definitely not an immigration issue, but a DUI.

Geraldo is right. It shouldn't matter if the guy was an illegal immigrant. He shouldn't have been drunk no matter where he is from. What would make it an immigration case is if the guy flees the country after he is released on bond. We had that very thing happen in my home town. An illegal immigrant was driving drunk and killed a 20 year old boy. When he was given bond he fled to Mexico. Arizona was trying to pass a law last year to not allow illegals bond if they are charged with these types of crimes. I don't know if it passed.

I saw the news before the debate with Geraldo. The real story is that two girls were run down and killed by a drunk in Virginia Beach. The reason Bill brought it out into the light is that he wanted the world to know that NO NATIONAL NEWS CARRIED IT! And the UP had printed it. It was hushed up locally and nationally. The Purported reason seems to be that Virginia Beach is one of many areas in the US that is considered a safe haven for illegal aliens, and that they are protected there! The young drunk driver was an illegal alien.

It could have been any nationality drunk driver, that is true. But it is also true that this particular incident that killed two children, occurred because that illegal alien was the driver. If they are being protected by local businessmen, police or anyone, for that matter, crimes are being committed with much greater consequences than one terrible homicide!
