Re: Passport question

No, it is a tourist visit so you use your tourist passport, the no fee one is only for official stuff. Did you apply for you visa already? I know it costs about 80 bux and it takes a little while because they have to mail it.

Not sure if you will need a re-entry visa or not, but I know some teachers have to get that because of the type of visa they are here on. You might want to find out those answers well in advance of your trip.

Re: Passport question

I already have the multiple entry Visa to enter Korea and we're all set on the China Visa. I was just wondering about the tourist passport to get back into Korea because my tourist passport doesn't have the A3 Visa in it. I don't want them to think I'm in Korea for longer than the 30 days allowed just because I used my tourist passport.

Re: Passport question

I have about the same question. I do not have a visa for Korea because I will not be staying there for more than thirty days....... but, I will be arriving into Korea and leaving for China for five days and then returning back to Korea. Do you see any problems there?

Oh, our China visas cost 100 each. The fees went up on August 1st.

Thanks

Re: Passport question

You shouldn't have a problem. In fact, I believe the time you are allowed to stay in Korea without a visa will start over when you leave to go to China and then come back.

Re: Passport question

I went ahead and brought both of my passports and I'm glad I did. When I tried to leave Korea, the immigration official wanted to know why I didn't have any stamps in my passport showing that I had entered Korea. I was able to show him my government passport with my arrival stamp. Also, coming back into Korea the immigration official asked me how long I was going to stay in the country and when I told him that I was staying until May 08, he looked at me like I was stupid. Again, I just showed him the government passport with the A3 visa and no problems.
