Any re-enlistment guru's here?
I have a question...
I currently have a permanent profile (P2) for several different issues, and my reup guy is telling me that RETAIN is listing me as not currently eligible for my MOS (94E) because my PULHES code is 122111. According to RETAIN, it has to be a 111121 or better. I am trying to re-enlist so that I can take a VERY good job elsewhere, but I seem to be a bit stuck at the moment. Is there any sort of waiver for this? If so, how do I get it sorted? I went to the clinic here at Fort Detrick this morning and they looked at me like I was nuts, and said that once my Commander signs my P2 (which was done months ago) that his signature was all that was needed, because it was basically blessing me and saying I could do my job. Anyone got anything I can use here? |

Re: Any re-enlistment guru's here?
I am not a reenlistment guy nor am i an Army guy but I am an Air Force Fitness Program manager and I am at a joint command and I deal alot with the Army profile guys. And I can probably get you in touch with someone that can get you the right answer if I am wrong but... from my understanding your profile is restricting you because the Army is basicly saying you are unfit for general military duty, so your commander's signature reguarding your ability to perfrom your speciality is not really all that important. What you need to do, and again send me an email james.alverson@jfcom.mil and I will see if I can find someone to help you directly that works with the Army, is get your profile adjusted. The med group should be able to do that for you. But you need to get your profile adjust to fit your job.

Re: Any re-enlistment guru's here?
I got it sorted, my reup guy was reading the wrong thing. Once you are in an MOS, you are good to go unless you are given a P3 which forces you to go before an MMRB or MEB, and that board determines your fate.
I already re-enlisted, and I am good to go. |
