A clever cat.
Mrs. Howard was very tired. She fed her cat, Puddin’, and went to bed. During the night the house caught on fire. The smoke alarm sounded, but Mrs. Howard was so tired that she didn’t wake up right away.
Puddin’ heard the alarm. The cat ran into Mrs. Howard’s bedroom and jumped onto the bed. He put his paws on Mrs. Howard’s face and back. She woke up. Mrs. Howard and Puddin’ left the house very quickly.? That night, Puddin’ had all the milk he wanted. He had saved Mrs. Howard’s life. |
