Question about AFN channels--via streaming on net?
I do not see a category for this. I am a civilian English teacher at a hagwon. I saw the AFN station at a friend's home. My cable carrier does not carry it. I'm kind of surprised there's not an AFN Gwangju, as I understand there's a base here (though I admit that I've seen no obviously not Korean people in uniform here, so maybe the base is all Korean or something). I am wondering if I can get streaming AFN tv on my computer since the shows seem to be from America anyway and the show I want to see ["The Sarah Connor--(something)"] is made by Fox, which does not stream its shows outside the US. So, can I watch the American shows on my computer via a high speed internet modem?
Thanks! Phil BTW Thanks for your service! |

Re: Question about AFN channels--via streaming on net?
I'm not sure if you can find that particular show at this website, but I've used this to watch sporting events that weren't being broadcast by AFN, and have had pretty good success.

Re: Question about AFN channels--via streaming on net?
Almost forgot about this site: http://www.xtoc.com/
An amazing resource for downloading high quality videos of just about anything and everything under the sun. It's all in Korean though, so you'll need a Korean friend to help you navigate around it. It's not free - but doesn't cost very much at all. And since the servers are in Korea - you can download at blazing speeds (a couple of minutes per episode of your favorite shows). Put the video files in a divx box (available all over Korea) and watch them on your tv. And of course, there is always the standby http://www.mininova.org/ You can get anything and everything here - it's free and all done via bittorrent. |
