My 12 day in Japan!!
I had a great time, I was there for the G8 summit. I'll be posting pictures later of what we had done (what I can post anyway).
We flew 4 CD-47D's from Korea to Chitose, Japan...1100 miles one way total was 11 flight hours...Great flight and loved the views. The first night we stayed in Atsugi, Japan. Very nice place to be and stay. Then we made our way into Chiotse for the next 10 or so days. Very nice and what i'm most impressed with how the Japanese people were very nice and they actually had manners........................... Coming home we made a 2 day stop in Misawa AirBase, Japan. Loved that place and would go back anytime I can!! Overall I would say Japan would be a much better place to be stationed than in Korea. The only bad thing I can say about Japan is that ALOT of bars will not accept Americans in their bar....Oh'well..... Japan does appear to be more expensive than Korea, but I believe it would be well worth being there. I'll be posting pics in a few days.. Chuck

I'm actually surprised that Koreans allow some americans in their bars from the looks that we get.
Anyway, glad to hear you had a good time. Trust me, if there was anywhere on this side of the map I'd rather be right now.. it would be Japan! Can't wait on the pics.
