O' Reilly also made the same mistake with Al Franken and all that does is ruin your credibility as a calm and collective debater.
It's hard to consider this just a second mistake. O'Reilly first mistake was well published and I can't imagine him not hearing that he had gotten it mixed up. Does it warrant a full segment? Should maligned WWII dead receive 3 minutes on national television to set the story straight?

You might not say you're defending O'Reilly, but your attacking his detractors without even giving a nod that O'Reilly has committed an egregious error after he had been corrected for it once already. How are we supposed to understand your approach?

It should also be noted how strongly you responded to the horrible (and read the article, it doesn't mention anything about insurgents killing civiians) reporting by a British newspaper. Why are you speak so strongly about one, but not the other?

Mr. Joe is on a distinguished road
Wink Obermann and O'Reilly

I really like O'Reilly, although I don't get Fox Network here lately. O'Reilly is a genuine reporter, and not afraid to speak freely. Like all newsmen, he is not infallible, but he may think he is.
Obermann is like that Ed guy that imitates Rush Limbaugh-he is a wannabe. Should go back to sports.
Al Franken is a genuine fake. Completely unbelievable that he still has a job. Howard Stern is garbage, yet a quantum leap more intelligent than Al Fraaken.

Franken seemed clueless about his own book and said, "well, you make some good points and I will research more and remove the errors in the next edition."
I'm saying that Franken stood up to O'Reilly's nonsense @ the book show and deflected all the intimidation tactics Billy Boy had to offer and beat him! That is documented somewhere in CSPAN's archieves. Basically there all trash talker and Billy boy should have a better understanding of US politics since he constantly boast of having a MPP from Havard. Franken has a bachelors from Columbia U I think. Both (whether agreed upon or not) serve their chosen ideology and beiliefs. It's no differents than any 3 or 4 of us going on someone else's show, blog, forum and stating our opinions and politely slandering each others view points na dpossibly taking cheap shots. Is their some truth in what O'Reilly, Franken and the likes say? Hidden somewhere in the rhetoric. Howard Stren more of a goof. I've never heard the radio show but he's more intersted in pushing FCC's limits than political stuff. If he does poltical stuff its toward an agency or NYC officials. There's this clown out of Chicago named Mancow, I've not heard his show in aut 5 years, but at the time he was a Stern wannabe. Both had strippers, pornstars, disabled indv, etc as part of their act (for a lack of a better word). Mancow added anti-Clinton and admitted to actively using marijuana on his show. Stern took the smart road I think and went to satellite radio, were those you are interested can pay yot hear him and God only knows what Mancow does. I'm not impressed by him and think that he should step up to the plate a join the military if his so interested in being a neo-republician spokesperson for the under30 crowd.
