US Won't Win in Iraq
I was about to go to bed. I laid down, tucked myself into my nice warm bed (it is freezing outside!), but couldn't sleep. For some reason, I flashed back to an article I read early in the day. This statement came to mind.
"The idea [that America] will win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong" Can you guess who said this? Was it Bin Laden? How about Al Zarqawi? Maybe Saddam Hussein during his trial? Nope! Howard Dean! This man is a dream for the Iraqi Insurgency. Image you are one of 200,000+ American service members in Iraq and you wake up to read Howard Dean saying this. Would you feel great about waking up and going on patrol for a worthless cause? Or how about if you are an insurgent just about to give up and you here the leader of the Democratic Party make a statement like this. Well, if you are the insurgent you think, "well hey! Maybe we can win after all." If you are the U.S. service member, you must feel betrayed. Howard Dean is a despicable man and will ensure the Democratic Party remains the minority part in the U.S. for years to come. The days of FDR, Truman and JFK are gone and the days of Ted Kennedy, John Kerry and Howard Dean are here. Even Bill and Hillary Clinton say it would be a huge mistake to pull out now. What did Dean say about that? "Bring the 80,000 National Guard and Reserve troops home immediately." So, let's pull out 40% of the troops today? And this man is the head of the Democratic party! I try never to feel hatred, but I despise this man. Mike
