[quote=mike]sejongeb, you have to do better than post a blog as a source. I don't see a single link in that blog. [quote]
I believe that author has years of experience as a journalist, congressional press secretary, and Chief of Staff among other things. That took 30 seconds to find, no offense. I also recall posting "if true" somewhere in my reply. Call it a blog if you want and so forth. Maybe if it was posted that GW by actions thinks the Consititution is a piece of paper we could debate that as well. Correct me if I'm wrong, but regardless of who the source is and if it's on a blog, it's worthless in your eyes? Cold hard facts is what's needed to make an agruement? Arguements have been made out of less that overwhelmed actual facts. Both parties do this daily, news pundits do the same. Personally I could care less if Bush actually said it. What the AG thinks and if you what to use the CNN route, you'd be better off asking Oprah's opinion.

Here's a another link:http://www.theconservativevoice.com/...ad.html?id=552
I believe the link is to a religious patron. It does confirm or deny the statement, rather gives some credit to the author. Since no primary source has been used, then it's open to some criticism and that's fine. Before we debate this any further, there are plenty of examples of Republicians using misinformation has Democrats. Not ever liberal hugs trees and avoids facts. Not every Republican uses facts: i.e. Rush Limbaugh, Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson. Whether or not you believe what Thompson wrote isn't the question, proof of what was alledgely said was offered. If you don't believe it, then don't. If proof for everything in life and especially in politics needed, myopia wins. Maybe I'm wrong here but it appears that several were ganging up on Taichan. I sure she just didn't make up that comment. I'm not speaking for her but the 'crickets' part can be perceived as adding fuel to the fire and not to mention that it definately can be implied as intellectual intimidation especailly from the eyes of a 19 y/o coming from seasoned military. I have no problem with anyone attempting to attack me or my view. Somethings I'm knowledgable over, somethings I'm not. Just like the rest of us here. That's the way I see it and we can be mindful of how and what we post.

No one was ganing up....I asked for proof, she could not provide it.
You provided a source. Do I still believe it.......it is a little more crediable? Do I believe it? Not really. Thats my opinion, but like @ssholes everyone has one. If your gonna say something, then be prepaired to back it up not matter what conversation your are in. That is something that is known no matter if your are 19 or retired from the Military. Espically with some of the threads that have been started on this board. Look at the NCS thread.... BTW I could care less about politics, I don't read the news paper and do not watch the news on TV. THey just put out what they want you to hear.
