VIDEO - What does this say about US inner cities?

Take a hard look at this video.

VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED
VIDEO 1

There is a disturbing trend going on in our inner cities. I am curious where Jesse Jackson and other minority leaders are when videos like this come out? Also, why the media black out?

That's sure a neighborhood I wouldn't want to drive through.

Seriously, though, this is disturbing. What's even more disturbing is I bet some one in the crowd called the police, but they didn't bother to show up.

I guess the city is Oaktown, CA.

Also, what kind of man simply leaves a girl to get a beating like this? Did you see the guy try to get people off his car? Then he finally just opens the door so his car doesn't get destroyed any more! He could have driven away in the first few minutes as the crowd was small. He may have run over a few thugs, but that would have been a good thing.

The police probably came after this girl was either dead or close to it. I am sure police don't rush to scenes like this. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if no one called the police as most people just watch crimes like this.

I don't know exactly what this situation was... was it a guy, his wife, and the wife's friend (beaten girl)?

Anyway, if it were this person in the car with my wife and I, honestly, I'd fear for my wife's safety and threw the girl out, too. I am not saying that it's a righteous/justified decision, but given the situation of an angry mob jumping all over my car demanding this person, if I had continued to NOT hand her over who knows what they'd done to me and my spouse.

But, yeah, ...it did kind of look like, "Man, they f**kin' up my ride! Get out my car, !" in a way. If that was truly his reasoning, then he should burn in hell for it.

I don't think I would have started to run over people to get out of there. It'd be a crime, for one, if I had killed someone in the process, and it would only piss off the crowd more and end up giving them a reason to kill me (and my wife--if that is the case).

I can't view videos at work-so I'll wait 'til I get home to see it.
The U. S. is in such a state today that I carried a registered and concealed weapon in a rather small town in South Carolina, and will continue to do so if I ever do return to the U.S. Dialing 911 or waiting for Police assistance can get you killed. Simple as that.
The drug scene is perhaps beyond fixing. There are so many drug users that will hijack your car,mug you , rob you or burglarize you to get a fix. Every Friday they rob a bank in S.C., sometimes two! It is a way of life. Get used to it.

Obviously, The Owner Of This Car Is A Miserable Excuse Of A Human Being And A Coward!!! Anyone Who Would Allow That To Happen To Another Human Being Should Have The Same Thing Happen To Them.....it Doesn't Matter What She Did, A Lynch Mob Is Not The Answer....he Should Have Driven Off, And Let The Bodies Fall Where They May....

I'm not arguing what's right or wrong. All I know is I wouldn't know what to do in that situation. But, realistically, I don't think people can easily just run people over with cars. Plus, I think the car was barracaded by other cars so they couldn't escape.

Just a thought, though...

Had it been a man in the back seat and a woman driver...

Would we be calling the woman driver a scumbag?

Or would we be calling the man a scumbag coward for hiding in the backseat of the car and putting his friends in the car in danger?

Let's not forget what this woman did. She was a "snitch", as the narrator stated. This means she probably reported a crime and they didn't like it. So, she may have gotten someone arrested and that is a bad thing? No one likes a snitch, but in cases of people reporting a crime it is 100% ok. Maybe she was just as guilty and called the cops to get out of trouble. We may never know.

Bottom line, the crowd was not that violent in the first minute and that guy should have gotten in the car and driven away at the first sign of trouble. As far as I could see he was one of the bigger guys in the video. As far as running the idiots over, I don't see how he could have gotten in trouble. I don't know a judge in the world that would throw a guy in jail for attempting to leave a riot.

Back to my question: what does this say about our inner cities? I could show ten more videos like this of gangs of kids beating on a single person. I even remember a group of thugs ordering Chinese food and killing the driver for the food. Obviously, some people should not be having kids because they are obviously not raising them.

I know where you're coming from, BIGD. I ain't going to get upset, though.

Now I'm not directing this toward you guys (since I don't know you or how brave you guys are), but there are situations in life where everyone talks a lot of smack: "Oh, if that happened to me, I would have..." Then when the real deal comes, they chicken out.

I'll be man enough to admit that I fit in that category some times. When I was young I used to always talk smack like, "If someone tried to mug me with a knife, I'd kick it out of his hand and open a can of whoop-ass on him!" Well, one day the real deal came. All I could think of at the moment was "What if I miss? What if the knife doesn't drop? What if I get my foot stabbed?" In short, I hesitated. And "yes" I was scared. Now before everyone starts to laugh and call me a coward for it, I'd like to point out the other thoughts in my head: "Is $40 worth getting killed for? Is it worth the risk of widowing my wife and children for?" I handed over my wallet, he pulled out the cash, dropped the wallet and ran off.

Battle is different to me. Though I've never seen combat, the closest situation was when a gang of Koreans outnumbered us with weapons, 11 to four. Oh we got our butts KICKED, alright! Blood, stitches, broken bones, and all. I did not abandon my friends then.

But you'll never know until you are actually faced with the situation; that's my thought... maybe in combat I'll either be a chicken or be courageous. Honestly, I hope not to find out.
