English Town in Jeju island !
Our Govt. will make a English town in Jeju soon.
Also, It will be set up a national schools such like an elementary school, middle school, high school, collage and university. Those schools will be use only English for class. So, Korean Education Ministry will employ a lot of English teachers. But you need an university degree to be English teacher there. |

Great! Much like the English Village at Paju, just north of Seoul. Our friend Al Pope teaches there. There is one in Ansan, (Dabu Island),and in South Seoul.
The Paju site is featured at: http://www.voanews.com/english/archive/2006-05/2006-05-08-voa15.cfm?CFID=1353279&CFTOKEN=18187192 |

I'm sure since Gwangju is the third largest city, it will be a good idea to have an English Village School there. Necessary for international success.
Cheju Island is a jewel in the crown of Korea! The best Pheasant hunting in the world! Korea wants to make a special economic area, to lure international trade and commerce; the Hong Kong of North Asia! It will have special low taxes, and economic incentives to businesses. I'm guessing more and more casinos, too. If that works, there will be a need for Japanese speaking casino employees! And Chinese, too! Maybe a Chinese Village School? |
