Teach English in the Green Zone of Baghdad
Bill O'Turdly, December 4, 2007

Hey all you ESL teachers, are you ready to reach the next level in ESL ?

If so, Kent Clizbe from Cameron Halifax Associates wants you!

Teach ESL in the Green Zone [of Baghdad]

We are a consulting services company. Our client needs one ESL teacher. We are searching for an adventurous, self-starting, independent person to teach English to Iraqi government servants in a secure environment in the Green Zone in Baghdad. The Green Zone is probably safer than most urban neighborhoods (mostly because you aren’t driving around, and are not subject to auto accidents). Incidents of shelling into the Green Zone are almost non-existent.
You will live and work in a secured compound, with guards and shelters.
Your students are Iraqi government servants. You will have 10-20 contact hours per week, with a flexible schedule, based on students’ needs. You are responsible for lesson planning, grading, testing, level assignments, and other administrative issues.
Benefits: Room, board and business class round-trip travel provided, hazard insurance. Salary based on experience, minimum of $7,500 per month.
Requirements: Native American English speaker, U.S. citizen, experience in adult education.

Contract length: 6 months.

Preferred: ESL experience, U.S. military experience, Secret security clearance.

Living Conditions: Shared trailers (one roommate); comfortable but small. Each trailer has its own bathroom. Free laundry machines and supplies. Excellent food service 24 hours a day. Recreation and bar on compound.

If you know someone who is ready to reach the next level in ESL, please contact me immediately.

Kent Clizbe
Cameron Halifax Associates

What are you waiting for?

Act now! It’s time to reach the next level in ESL!
