Here is a serious question for all the gentlemen out there. I will award 100 points to anyone who can tell me the origin of the stripper/juicy dance pole.
Porn star Jenna Jameson has described some risks of pole dancing: Quote:
100 points to the first person who can tell me the documented facts on the dance pole. Did an ancient king get borded one day and say, "I gotta have a pole!" :p |

I'm going to say the old Maypole from years ago sort of evolved, and the original symbolism (Starts with P------ ends in S) still "holds" or "stands". Whatever. (The one in loveland park in Cheju-Do is horizontal.)
