Exclamation Lqa

I will be retiring in Korea in NOV, starting Terminal Leave in SEPT.

I have been offered a GS-11 EEC position in Seoul.

My question is, will I receive LQA? I have 2 Dependants, I hear that CPOC has a exception for military retiring out of Korea, enabling them th receive LQA.

Need some info quick :)

Cool Re: Lqa

Guess I would call CPOC. It is their call. As far as I know, I've been told the person has to be hired out of country in order to get the LQA.

Re: Lqa

What Mr. Joe said is correct. There are, however, exceptions to the rule. Typically, an exception is granted if a certain position is very difficult to fill and the only person qualified to fill it is living in country.

Re: Lqa

What do you mean EEC? There are so many different EEC's I'm confused.

Re: Lqa

What ever you do, DO NOT LET THE GOVERNMENT MOVE
YOU, DO NOT TRY THE TRICKS OTHERS HAVE TRIED.

Such as using a stateside address and phone number.

You should have verified by now if you will get LQA, If
you are not authorized LQA, CPAC will tell you why. By the way the State Department has say so.

Bones
