I guess it depends on weather or not he was made an example of? If he had pissed other people off in his chain, it is up to them on how far they want to go with the punishment. Is it worth his retirement....maybe not? Someone thought it was.

If someone from their unit is cognizant of the 2 sharing a room, the information will be propagated throughout the unit before the plane was back in Korea. There is reasonable doubt whether anything sexual did occur. What reasonable leader would have allowed themselves to be set up for a compromising situation. A question came up with the WH scandal. Should the military members be held to a higher morale accountability then the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces? I will not touch that one. I am sure there was more that occurred than what was released to the S&S that some are attempting to dismiss as conjecture. I do not believe the any judge would have been quick to destroy this individuals career based on assumptions or fraternization. Therefore was the punishment warrant the crime. Only the judge, and those present, or have access to the transcript can claim “Justice Served. |
