Cool THIS WEEKEND (6th thru 9th) IN SEOUL

I'm going to mention that I've got 4 days off in a row starting on the 6th. I suspect Seoul will be a ghost town due to Chusok on the 6th, but Yongsan Garrison should be open for eating on Sat & Sun. Anyone traveling 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th should NOT GO BY HIGHWAY! It will be at a snail's pace. Ride the train.
I don't think I will be going anywhere out of town. I suspect there will be business as usual on Columbus Day at the Electronics Center out behind Yongsan Station. I would consider a foray out there just for shopping around.
Again, for those on their own, maybe not able to go to the military post, Yongsan Station has nice restaurants upstairs, and they are in a nice mall atmosphere. The E -Mart downstairs is fun, also: groceries in the basement, very clean and nice.
Al Pope wants to do the Korean War Museum- I'll go out tomorrow and see when or if they will be open this weekend. Maybe I'll tour Inchon.

PM Mr. Joe with ideas or questions.

Re: THIS WEEKEND (6th thru 9th) IN SEOUL

I love Chusok for the days off from school. But I hate the traffic. Especially since I was hoping to go to Yongsan this weekend. Perhaps I have to suffer for more than 2 hours just to get there. Arghhhh...

Cool Re: THIS WEEKEND (6th thru 9th) IN SEOUL

Bring a friend and a bag of cheetos (not the fiery ones, the red color gets all over you), and ride the subway! 1600 won and an hour and a half to Yongsan. walk 4 blocks in to Gate 19.
No high gas prices, no toll fees! The movies are always FREE on Post!
Such a deal!
