Something that needs done. I was out in the real cold the other day, and stopped at the Wolfhound Irish Pub in an alley behind Burger King. I was pleasantly surprised. This was afternoon, inside it was warm, and there was no smoky smell, so I had a coke. Met Sailor there, and had a nice chat. There is a space upstairs for a band, and the menu includes Guiness and other drinks, plus fish and chips, which is a real plus for me! I love a menu with western food. Burger and fries, also! And salads! I'll go back!
I need help from locals reviewing bars in Itaewon. Gecko's,(there are two, one is a Garden), Seoul Pub, Shooters, Helios, Grand Ole OPry, others. They tell me Helios has dancing? |

Re: Yongsan Bar Review? The Wolfhound Pub
Mr. Joe. I agree. An Itaewon bar review would be great. There are a lot of awesome bars in Itaewon, most don't have the "juicy" bs. My favorite hangout is Scrooge Pub, across from 3-alley pub. And yes, Helios has dancing after about 8pm. Pretty much a meat market on the weekends and Thursdays (ladies night). I'll be hanging out at Scrooge when I get back there next week (7 Feb).

Re: Yongsan Bar Review? The Wolfhound Pub
Was it Scrooge that has the big Trivia contest on Thursdays? I read something in Seoul Magazine about it. I heard somewhere that the Airline Stewardesses hang out somwhere other than at the Hyatt in the evenings. That Hyatt hotel is an interesting place to visit once, but boy! it is really expensive!

Re: Yongsan Bar Review? The Wolfhound Pub
3-alley pub has the trivia on Thursdays. it's a good way to get patrons as some bars (Helios and a couple of others) have lady's night on Thursday. Hyatt has a lot of eye candy, but like you said, way expensive. I'll be at Scrooge on Wednesday the 7th around 9pm as I land at Incheon at 6:30. Maybe I'll see you there.

Opief15c-
I couldn't make it to Scrooge's tonight. I have to drive down near Suwon tomorrow. (There is no such thing as Suweon, no matter what the Korean Ministry of Education says.) We'll get together another day soon. |
