Santorini - Greek food - Itaewon - excellent!!
Ok, so last night I was encouraged to try this greek place called Santorini. It is behind the Hamilton hotel just above Brickx night club, and basically right across from The Bungalow and near Scrooge's/ Three Alley Pub.
It is not a cheap place, but the food was excellent! The staff all speak english, and the menu is in english as well. I have a Gyro and some Tzatziki. The bread they served was some of the best Ihave had since getting to Korea, and it complimented the Tzatziki sauce quite well. The gyro was a DIY kind of deal, but there was a LOT of meat. Actually I needed a few extra pita pieces and a few more onions to finish it all. It came with some seasoned potatoes which were mighty dang tasty as well. Total cost for 2 people was 43,000 and they included a 10% gratuity on the check... kinda weird for a Korean place, but whatever, it was really good food and worth a tip. They also had pleasatn upbeat music playing, and the atomosphere was very inviting. I was massively impressed, and I am typically skeptical of everything in itaewon so that is saying quite a bit. I am at work right now or I would post a map for you. I will try to get one up when I get home, but this place is certainly one to check out! Here is a review the Korea Times did on them as well: http://times.hankooki.com/lpage/cult...9402111700.htm |
