Regarding the incident in Itaewon. You locked up this thread and told us to read it in the newspaper.

Can you provide a URL, or at least the name of the paper in which this was reported?

Re: Read it in....which newspaper?

All blotter reports are in the mornign calm, go by and pick one up it's free.

Sorry but if something happened and the KNP's/MP's were involved, THIS is not the place to talk about it.

Sorry, trying to protect the people on this board and Mike.

Protect them from what? As long as someone doesn't say something stupid. We talk about lots of different things here. Just cause MP's or KNP's doesn't mean we shouldn't talk about it. Just warn and ban the people that act stupid.

I think ole Chuck knows something and he's not telling us. He's probably involved in the Roswell UFO crash cover-up too. Man there were like 5 MP vehicles and 1 ambulance that morning. The guy must've done something pretty bad!

No that is not what i'm saying.

But someone has been repremanded who is/was a member on this site becasue of what he has written on this site.

Now, if everyone feels i'm wrong then write mr. joe or Mike.

Or complain here and i'll open the thread....maybe......

Thats why I think it should NOT be talked about on this board until it does show up in the newpaper then once it shows in the newpaper or blotter then it's free game.

Re: Read it in....which newspaper?

Ok Chuck, but damn I'm curious what happened. It might have just been a barfight that turned into a curfew violation. It was just barely 5am and he was already in handcuffs. Did anyone hear about the 2ID guys up North about a year ago that broke out bus windows and harrassed Korean nationals on the bus? That one made Korean news but never hit estripes.com. Actually I haven't seen any incidents in the stripes in a while. I'm thinking that USFK "incidents" are now being covered up and hidden from the media as much as possible. Either that or the 2ID has been secretly removed from Korea. I have a solution for all the incidents involving USFK members. NO DRINKING OFF POST. Lock the garrison gates at 10pm on weekends.

Korean media loves nothing more than a juicy "American GI done bad story." This is especially true if the incident also involved a Korean(s). So for incidents that occur off-base, there are plenty of people watching and very little USFK can do to stop reports from getting published in Korean media outlets.
