OK- I think I get the picture now!
There was a person/member who actually wrote some possibly incriminating things about him/her self and his/her activities on an open forum. He/she said that some of the things he/she said were quoted in a report used as evidence against him/her. So that is something to remember, like Miranda says, "Anything you say can, and will, be used against you in a court of law." Having said that, I haven't seen anything in any papers about the Itaewon incident Biff mentioned. I guess he could have been someone under SOFA if MP's were there. Maybe a contractor, civil servant, dependent, BX employee, Dragon hotel employee or even a GI? I'm with Willie- any such incident could not be hidden easily from the media. The only exception might be a person with diplomatic immunity, like the Filipino Diplomat who was caught shoplifting not long ago. They might be spirited out of the country quietly. |

You are absolutely right, but I am afraid our media has strong bias against American GI's. I don't know what happened in Itaewon, but if our media knows about it I am certain it will certainly be a top news story this evening. Personally I do not want to see it at news time. |

Re: Read it in....which newspaper?
Maybe what I should have said is wait till it comes out in the paper to read it, then we can talk about it.....

Re: Read it in....which newspaper?
I have a person known who working MBC TV station.
He is a journalist. You know, I am Korean. you never tell me about the accident but I can know through other route. But I have no interested in that accident. And now, the timing is not good. Our President has to go to N.Korea next month. So, our media won't report at main news time. |
