Re: An Iranian Guy was denied entry to your military base!
I will just comment here for now- I am not qualified to answer why the rule exists, but I believe, as the Iranian fellow says on that website, it is probably because of the actions of the Iranian Government, and their voiced intention to cause harm to the US.
Force Protection, protecting the US assets, is very important, even more important than a ball game. Sorry. In these days where Mid-Eastern countries threaten the western world, some folks are going to be "Profiled" or "discriminated against". Sorry. It is much better than the alternative. Missing a game is better than missing a leg, or an eye, or your life. |

Re: An Iranian Guy was denied entry to your military base!
I will see if I can find the list. I have seen it. There are very few mid-eastern countries on it. Mostly old Soviet Republics. That's why guys could not sign the Russian juicys on base, but could sign in juicys from the PI on base. What's ironic is I know of people who are in the US Army from those countries and are stationed in Korea.

Re: An Iranian Guy was denied entry to your military base!
The U.S. does not have official ties to Iran. Iran saw to that when they took over the embassy and took American hostages for a year. Additionally, the President of Iran has stated that want to destroy America and wipe Israel off the map. Finally, Iran is behind many of the U.S. Soldiers deaths in Iraq.
I did not read the article, but there is plenty of reason not to allow an Iranian citizen on U.S. military installations. It is a military base used for defending South Korea. Just my thoughts! Mike
