FNG possibly going to Yongsan
Anybody here in the 501st MI BDE? I've been in the Army for a little over two years now and plan to finish my enlistment elsewhere. I'm considering volunteering to be stationed in Yongsan and I was wondering what's it like over there?
Any information would help me out on my decision, even if you're not an Army guy. |

If you come to the 501st, you can be stationed at Camp Humphreys also. Just depends on where you are needed. Come to Koera...It really is a great place to be..

Re: FNG possibly going to Yongsan
Thanks for posting.
Yeah, I've been wanting to go to Korea, since I'll never see Japan in my current MOS. I was wondering if there's anything different with living in a Korean installation compared to CONUS. Like the whole curfew thing. |

Re: FNG possibly going to Yongsan
Depending on your rank, yea it is WAY different over here. E-6 and below no car, curfew. If you live in the barriacks who knows what you'll be doing?
I could go on and on about the differences, but the bigget thing is you'll see a different part of the world.

Re: FNG possibly going to Yongsan
My husband is with the 501st.
Curfew is at midnight during the week, and 1 am on the weekends. I personally like Yongsan, and Seoul, there is a lot of stuff you can do here. |
