Jobs

Where can I find out if there are openings for jobs on post?
I want to get a job, I have had enough of staying home and I don't want to go loony
I've checked the board at Town House, but I didn't see anything. Was also thinking about posting a babysitter ad on there, but the thing is already full of it...
Advice will be really appreciated

Cool Re: Jobs

There are part -time jobs open and coming open at the chapel..(Catholic).
Try non-appropriated Fund and Civilian Personnel Office. There is an employment office to the left of the front door at the Dragon Hill. Out in Itaewon, Jackie Chan's Place closed, and a new Australian food place is in. They are needing wait persons and bartenders. Check Starbucks. ( Some govt. jobs are not being filled due to money shortages.) (Army Community Services has a class before you can babysit.)
Good Luck. P.S. call the Romanian Embassy!

Re: Jobs

I know that the ACS here keeps a list of jobs available, they probably do that there too. You can go to the AAFES website and see what jobs they have available in Korea too. Here are some websites you can do some research on.

Re: Jobs

Thank you for the suggestions. I've checked those links out, and found something, but one of their requirements is being a US citizen..which I am not ..but makes me wonder how the Koreans here get the jobs on post...

Re: Jobs

Ralu, I know what you going thru ,as a third country national it is near impossible to get a job here on post due to agreement between Korean govt and US govt ,and of course SOFA regs .( even though you are a military dependant )
This was actually the issue that my work group worked on during the AFAP conference that just took place .
I have a job working for a Korean contractor on post ,I was lucky , also I Am leaving soon ..... (hint hint possible job opening .)
How long are you here for ??
